Mission-  To support our students growth academically, personally/socially and meet their future career goals.  

Vision- To administer a successful College and Career Readiness School Counseling Program that increases students academic and career outcomes, as well as, produces emotionally strong and socially competent students who become contributing members of their community.  

What does the School Counselor do? 

School Counselors work to help all students in the areas of improving educational outcomes, bringing awareness to College and Career Readiness, and providing support with student life skills, behaviors, and mindsets. We do this through implementation of the state of Utah’s College and Career Readiness School Counseling Program Model.

We also do: 

• Bullying Prevention   • Dropout prevention   • Small group counseling  • Provide community resources and referrals  • Crisis intervention/ counseling   • Classroom Lessons   • Life Skills curriculum   • Data Projects for school improvement and assessment   • Attendance and Truancy support   • Collaborate with CTE teachers   • PCCR’s with 7^th and 8^th grade students and families   • Student scheduling   • Provide work based learning oppertunities   • CCA Classroom Lessons   • Grade level transitions   • Support RTI program   

We do not do:

• Provide long term counseling   • diagnose mental health disorders   • disipline students
